Hamilton Children's Museum

Restoration of the porch at the Hamilton Children's Museum. All components were machined and painted in-house, and installed by Davidson and Thomas. The work was done in accordance with the City of Hamilton's heritage requirements.

The railing assemblies were assembled in the shop and were cut to exact size on site - reducing time and mess on location.

In according with restoration guidelines, two of the columns were repaired with scarfed dutchmans. Only the rotted sections of the columns are removed and the replacement material must be fit and profiled to match.
